pi and cupcakes
Geeks of the world, unite! It’s your day! At least in the U.S., I reckon. And where it comes to the date, in any case. We’re the only ones that use the month-day-year date display as opposed to day-month-year, etc… right? Does this make me a geek for thinking about it? Well, at least I can’t tell you anything hat comes after .1416….
I found a new way to look thin today: bring cupcakes for my co-workers! The fatter the people around me look, the thinner I will, right? I put some scrumptious little white cakes with green St.Patty’s Day whipped frosting on them in the kitchenette for my coworkers this morning. Now as long as I can stay away from them myself, my plan should have a chance of working.
Of course, I probably shouldn’t tell them all this is my plan. Which I’ve been doing all morning. Oops. Guess I’m not even trying to make friends anymore.
[Does anyone else read “coworkers” as “cow-orkers?” I can’t stop seeing that. Cow Orkers.]
In other, unrelated news, I think it’s going to be a throw-down sort of weekend. I’m not sure what all it will entail at this point, but afternoon drinking on Saturday sounds just right for an Irish girl. The Atlanta Hash is taking part in a parade this weekend that looks to be a good time. But, eh, since when do the Irish *exercise* on their day? :*) Nope… sitting on the back porch and having some drinks, then hitting the local Irish pub sounds like a much better idea to me. Who needs exercise?
Especially if I can manage to stay away from the cupcakes in the breakroom. What bitch brought those things in anyway?
Today’s reason to drink:

Heehee…kidding, but I could use it. Man, I woke up on the wrong side of the bakery today.
