Woo to the VCU!

And, yes, I picked it.  HA! Take that!

Okay, it is just one point  (in the pool. Gotta be in a pool!).  And I’m bound to start losing most heinously with the rest of my NCAA pool picks…but still.  I be takin my victories where I can get them.  :)

In other news, once again I must thank my friend Pauile (aka P2) for turning me on to Paul Brians’ “The Common Errors in English Usage” book.  Well, er, I didn’t so much get the book as I did the page-a-day calendar.  The English grammar geek in me is rejoicing right now!  It arrived yesterday and is now on my desk at work.  I’ve had to rip off all the days from the beginning of the year until now, but those are sitting in a pile ready for me to review when I’m stuck on some tedious conference call or something.   Still, in that I never would have found this thing without P2, I think he should get some commission off this calendar, eh?

It’s crazy how an upset tourney pick and a geek calendar can make me so happy.

Oh…and it’s Friday.  Which means I can do lines of the crack that’s hiding in my freezer.   Crack being the Thin Mint from the Girl Scout Cookie and nothing more sinister, of course.  I can’t remember who actually first came up with the term “Fat Friday,” but it’s the best invention in the world.  The concept: eat healthy all week and Friday you can cheat your little heart out.    So now I’m a cheating, basketball game-predictin’ grammar geek.  

Really, it doesn’t take much to make me happy.  Really.  :-)
