November Rain

I have had that GNR song stuck in my mind for days now, particularly the end part where the “Don’t you think that you need somebody…” chant begins. I must have heard it somewhere recently.   Being stuck in my head for that long, I finally broke down and had to get it this morning.  It’s okay cause I actually like this song.  And, truly, no one can make “blame” a 3-syllable word quite like Axl.

Good morning, winterized Atlantans (and others already winterized).  How fun was the snow last night?  So pretty! Snow in Atlanta   Though it was very tempting, the light bit of snowfall was not a good excuse to skip the gym last night and I, for one, am proud of myself for not letting it be. :)    Five days in a row now and going strong… if it “Takes 21 Days to Make a Habit” I’m a quarter of the way there!  And it’s getting ridiculously easier each time I’m in.  Like, seriously: Tuesday before trivia I stopped and treadmilled my way through a workout at the same speed and incline as I did last night, but last night was about 10x easier than the night before.  Can that be right?   So, yes, I increased speed and incline to make up for it.   And, yes, I just made a verb out of “treadmill.”  I like to think the English degree on my wall gives me that allowance.

Speaking of workouts, thanks to my dear friend Martha,  I have a whole new way of looking at workouts.  See, Martha introduced me to Beck’s Premiere Light: the 64-calorie, 3 carb beer that is bound to be a new favorite of mine.  That, and as I watched my “calories used” number count up on the treadmill, I counted: “that’s one beer earned….that’s two beers earned…,” etc.  Ah yes.  Workouts are going to be much more fun now.

My car after exiting the gym: snow on car  Nope, not much.  But enough to make me smile, so that’s all that matters to me.

    I call them “dreadmills.”

Why bother with the Beck’s Premiere Light? I seriously doubt that it can be that tasty. Of course, I’m a beer snob.

I actually don’t mind the dreadmill (good name) - though I do get a bit bored. :p

The Beck’s is really not that bad. I think I bother because I do like beer and at only 64 calories, I don’t feel so bad for drinking it. I’m definitely not putting aside good beers. :) Just for the time being with my weight loss goals, it’s better than nothing. Definitely drinkable.
