I almost forgot to blog this morning.

Arrrrgh!  Can I just call a mulligan on today and start over again? I apparently have a head (I can feel it up there), but  I have forgotten just about everything else at home.  I purposely made a second pot of fresh coffee this morning (in my defense, it’s only a 4-cup maker to begin with. Haven’t found mine in my boxes yet) to fill up my travel mug to bring to work.   Did I fill it up?  Oh yes.  Did I leave it sitting prettily on the kitchen counter? Oh yes.   Grrr.   I *almost* forgot my gym bag – running back upstairs to get it at the very last minute before heading out.  Good thing I remembered THAT of all things, especially in that I’m not going to the gym today.  In actuality, I will be seeing a play with my good friend Paulie this evening at the Horizon Theater instead:    (Looking forward to this is really the only saving grace for today right now).  So I didn’t actually need to go back for the gym bag.  Oh no.    But what would have been helpful to go back for was my wallet… which I’m certain is sitting right next to my computer in my bedroom.   Grrr again!   And, seriously, let’s not even get into the fact that it’s raining like a banshee (however banshees rain) and both of my umbrellas were “forgotten” last night in the car – a ½ block away from the house.  Yup.  Uh-huh.  I used a Kroger bag as a rain bonnet this morning.  Guess how well that worked?   

 
So, yeah!  Some morning, huh?  If only I could start over…. Hey, wait! I CAN start over!

 
I’m taking this “being at work” thing as now the START of my day, meaning, hopefully, it gets better from here.

To end on a positive note, at least I had the foresight to store some food goodies at work in the event of forgetting my lunch at home (oh yeah…that too, don’t you know?).  So I just made me a bowl of grits, filled up a cup of the company’s coffee, and am saying   not hopefully – nay!  It WILL get better from here!   (Especially if I can get above mentioned friend to spot me a beer before the show tonight!)
