Mmmm, beer.

leinies

Oh, Leinies, you are so keeping things interesting!

I had a girlly beer dilema last night.   I knew I had to get some of my Beck’s Premier Ultra (Laura’s directly responsible for my increasing their stock value), but then - woah! I found Leinenkugel’s all over the place.  Red, Honey, Berry… and this new stuff.  Limited Edition Summer Shandy?? Whaaaaaaaa?  So I had to get it.  I haven’t tried it yet.  I will this evening.

This is really only a big deal for us Wisconsinites - er, displaced Wisconsinites - who remember our little Leinenkugel’s brewery from way back in the day (before they were bought out by Miller… I think).  To find it down here in such variety is very new, especially just at the local Kroger.   Now if only I can find a Point distributor…

Oh, yeah. I got some normal boy beer too. :-)

    Stacy…Saw a pickup truck yesterday with a Leinenkugel bumper sticker..Georgia tag…+ a 1-20-09 sticker. WTF?

  2. Stacy Says:

Pickup truck + Leinekugel sticker + Ga. Tag = Stacy’s interested!!

1-20-09 = Stacy’s turned off. Yeah, yeah… so you don’t like Bush. Big deal, who cares anymore? Bush Bashing’s old. Tell me who you DO like then. Y’know? What you stand FOR, not against.

Standing for Leinekugel’s? I can get behind that. :)

And what beer store did you find this awesome assortment of Leinie’s? I like the Honey Weiss.
and how was the Summer Shandy?

Believe it or not, the Kroger right on Old Hwy 5 near Sixes Rd. Crazy!

It’s…well, like lemonade, really. Like alcoholic lemonade without the tangy effervescence. I will definitely drink what I have but I’m not sure if I’d buy it again… I’ll stick with the Honey.
