Brown paper packages tied up with string
I heard on the radio this morning that Oprah did another one of her “Favorite Things” episodes - Favorite Things Lite, the Summer Edition. Well, I don’t know nothin’ about these grills and cars and TVs-in-refrigerators that she’s known to give away, but I have some of my own favorite things, thank you very much. Here they are for those just dying to know. First, who doesn’t like good-smelling things?
I’m a sucker for the natural-type scents myself: vanillas, coffees, fresh berries and things they like to call “linen” or “fresh ocean breeze.” Though I’m not quite sure how they classify the scent of “After the Rain” or “Cool Summer Breeze,” I still buy into it.
And I buy into it with the Febreeze Noticables
plug in air freshener. I’m rockin’ the vanilla right now and though the cat box is just but a few feet away? Can’t even smell the thing. LOVELY!
Favorite Thing #2 is the Scrubbing Bubbles refillable automatic shower cleaner
. You simply hit a button after stepping out of your shower and voila! It’s kept all nice and sparkly clean as bubbles fly this way and that, coating every surface in site. Of course, you do know these folks probably got in trouble at some point – which is why there’s now a warning on it reading, “not a body wash.” Um, really?? Oh, I don’t know. I think them scrubbin’ bubbles might feel right good in my eyes.
Finally, for all y’all beauty-product lovin’ girlies like me, I gotta end on the facial product care line, particularly if you don’t use the Scrubbing Bubbles as a face wash.
This new Olay facial wash is the best smelling thing in the world (oooh! Back to the good smelling things again!), AND it makes your skin feel amazing. I do not have enough good things to say about the ProActive mask on the left and the toner on the right? Why, my pores DO look refined and smaller, thankyouverymuch!
Okay, so that’s it for the Dixie Cheese’s versions of favorite things this morning. And, nope, sorry, I can’t give them all away like the Oprah does either (sigh. . . someday!). Oh, and those of you grossing out about the catbox photo above? It’s actually a cake. Happy Monday, y’all!
Stacy, Yeah leave a box like that and the cat will be poopin all over the bathroom floor!!
May 19th, 2008 at 9:35 amYeah, that box is NAAAAAASTY, even as a cake. Reading the ingredients, I’m sure it’s pretty tasty, but there’s still no way I could eat it without gagging.
I especially like how the recipe calls for a NEW pooper scooper, etc. — like someone wouldn’t use a new one, really?!
May 19th, 2008 at 10:24 amYeah, our dog thinks the cat box is a cake, too…
May 19th, 2008 at 3:35 pmLOL at Perry! Oh, wow. that’s right though - I think our dog when we were growing up was like that too…we had it tucked in the corner of the crawl space where Penny couldn’t get to it. Ewww.
May 20th, 2008 at 2:44 amOh I love Scrubbing Bubbles!
May 20th, 2008 at 6:06 amcoffeedog: I know, right? I think I might have a bit of an obsession with ALL cleaning products. For the home, the body, the hair, the car… (now if only my home would reflect their use!) :)
May 20th, 2008 at 8:56 amOh I am just now seeing this, that catbox is a cake!!! Awesome. Who baked that?
May 23rd, 2008 at 6:05 amLOL at coffeedog! Oh good golly - I hope you didn’t think that was really how I kept my catbox!! :-)
I actually saw it at a party once…it’s supposedly very good, but I just can’t bring myself to eat it!
