Being EnV-ious :)

First, I gotta give props where props are due.  When my baby went to buy me a phone charger for his house, the Verizon folks told him I was elligible for a phone upgrade if I had wanted.  I thought it meant the second line (Mom’s phone), which I never upgraded when I did mine a year ago (because she didn’t want a new one).  I thought this because I had been told this.   I should have believed him.
Thus, I was terribly upset this morning when I realized my current phone  (CURRENT PHONE - like this, but all beat up to smitherines) old envhad finally bit it.  The phone really wasn’t much of a problem: it was the little charge-y device on it that was.  All three chargers I have had been struggling charging it for a week or so now: I had to monkey with them all the time to keep the pieces plugged together properly.  Today it finally went kaput.   With three bars of power and no way to charge it, I panicked!  What to do? What to do?

Faced with the fear of having NO phone once the bars ran out, I dashed to the Verizon store to see if they could help.

Low and behold, I found out some wonderous things.  I WAS elligible for an upgrade on this phone (who knew??  well, besides Rex. And apparently the smart Verizon person he had spoken with instead of the asspanda I had had on the phone). This meant an instant $99 off a phone today.   The phone I got (an upgrade from my current EnV and such pretty maroooooon) my new babyalso included a $50 mail in rebate. (Oh yes, I DO those things every time)  My final cost for the phone after that mail in rebate?

$3.

I LOVE Verizon.

Today’s turning out to be a very good day.

My phone is eligible for a upgrade in October sometime. I can’t wait, I really don’t like the Cherry Chocolate (even if it is a pretty color), I don’t like the slider feature, I’d rather have a flip.

That was one of my conditions on a phone - needed the flip, the full QWERTY keyboard, and the camera. I had heard that about the Chocolates. I guess they must still be popular since there are still models coming out. I just don’t like the slide.

Give me a week or so to play with this one and I’ll let you know if it’s worth it! :)

(though at 3 dollars, how can it not be?)

YAY! We’ve reconnected AND you are on Verizon! I just made the switch from Sprint (YUCK) and I am loving it. Got myself a Voyager . . .way more phone than I need, but with the $50 rebate, I had to go for it (granted, mine was a tad more than $3. . .but perhaps someday I, too, will be eligible for an upgrade. :)

Ohhhhhhhhh, see, I’ve been cravin the Voyager! I’m jealous! Here I am, over here, whining quietly with jealousy.

But rock on with the Verizon! I guess we can be text and pix messaging fools now too girl. (OOOH which reminds me - I’m going to MySpace RIGHT NOW to see your ring!)
